The Stratford Bulldog Academy SAFE program is designed to create a safe environment for academic, physical and emotional development through a variety of enrichment activities. SAFE was established through a 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant. This grant supports the creation of community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities for children, particularly students who attend high-poverty schools. The students will receive supplemental instruction in all core subject areas, homework assistance, as well as a healthy snack. In addition to academics, students will participate in structured physical activity time and activities designed to introduce students to new skills and hobbies. The SAFE program relies on a strong community support from the Stratford 4-H chapter, Life-Point Church, East Central University and Chickasaw Nation. The SAFE program is in operation every Monday-Friday that school is in session from 3:00pm to 5:30pm. The cost of the program is as follows: students who are enrolled in the Free lunch program may attend at no cost; those receiving reduced lunches may attend for $0.50 per day; while all other students will be charged $1.00 per day.
